It is now August which marks the unofficial start of fantasy draft season. So against my better judgement, here I am making my first set of fantasy rankings. This list will include my top 24 at Running back and Wide Receiver and my top 12 at QB and TE. This list will be as of August 3rd, meaning that Dalvin Cook, Ezekiel Elliot, Julio Jones, Jarvis Landry and other free agents have not found destinations and therefore will not be included in these rankings. The format is half PPR.
Running Back:
Christian McCaffery SF: He is the consensus number one running back with no real threats to his crown. Since his trade to San Fran he has looked the the CMC of old. In 10 games with the 49ers, Cmac ran for 746 yards and 6 rushing scores, to go along with 52 catches, 464 yards and 4 scores. Also he had a passing score cause why not. That amounts to an average of over 100 scrimmage yards, 5 catches and a score. He is number 1
Austin Ekeler LAC: This one isn't rocket science either, over the past two seasons Ekeler has accumulated 1,826 rushing yards, 1,369 receiving yards, 177 receptions and 38(!!) scores. Easy Choice.
Saquon Barkley NYG: Saquon is one of the most physically gifted running backs we have seen in recent memory. Sure he is in a remarkably average situation in New York, but if you are drafting Saquon, then you are betting on talent, and I like that bet.

Wide Receiver:
Justin Jefferson MIN: Not much to talk about here, last years highest scoring wide receiver, and the only that has changed is that he has even less competition for targets with Thielan gone
Cooper Kupp LAR: This one is probably my least popular take. Everyone loves to say that they arent sleeping on Kupp, but yet everyone continues to sleep on the player that had the greatest season ever by a wide receiver just two seasons ago. Also he was on pace to finish higher than Jefferson last year before his injury. Do not be surprised if he is fantasy's number one player this year.
Davante Adams LV: I swear I don't hate Ja'Marr Chase, I simply think that this year is as loaded as I've ever seen at the wide receiver position. There were some question marks with Tae last year when leaving Rodgers, but he showed that he is Quarterback proof by posting 100/1,516/14. He was as dominant as ever.

Tight End
1. Travis Kelce: KC: Well. maybe the greatest Tight End of all time, his ADP (average draft position) is 6.7. No brainer, Kelce is like having a top 5 Wide Receiver in your TE spot. Unfair
2. Mark Andrews: BAL: There are two Tight Ends in the NFL with at least 700 yards and 5 scores each of the pst 4 years. Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews. He is unbelievably consistent and he is Lamar's favorite target. As long as Lamar is quarterbacking the ravens, Andrews is a top three tight end.
3. Kyle Pitts: ATL: This is a really tough one, but like his teammates Bijan and London, he has unreal talent and will produce if he can get the ball in his hands. But in order for it to be in his hands, the ball has to be catchable. I am excited for Pitts, he was selected in the top 5 of the NFL draft for a reason, and I truly do believe his ceiling is overall TE 1.

Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes KC: No argument to be had here. Patrick Mahomes right now, might be the best we have ever seen on a football field.
Jalen Hurts PHI: Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen are very similar as far as fantasy is concerned. Both are above average passers, with big arms and great weapons. But Jalen Hurts just provides more on the ground. Last season he rushed for 760 yards and 13 touchdowns. the 13 scores tied him with Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb and Austin Ekeler for most rushing TDs in the league.
Josh Allen BUF: I covered a little bit about Josh Allen in the above passage, however I would like to reiterate the big arm portion. If you play in a league with bonuses for longer plays or yardage totals, Josh Allen is your guy. He frequently connect on massive throws to Diggs and Davis. Last year he had a game with thee 40+ yard touchdown passes.
